Who We Are
St. Andrew's Christian Church is a new church in Burlington, Vermont, affiliated with the American Baptist Churches of Vermont and New Hampshire that has a dream to be a church that worships and glorifies the person of Jesus Christ, captures the imagination of young people living in and around Burlington, and creates a spiritual ripple-effect that extends across the state of Vermont.
In this quest, we commit to always strive for the following:St. Andrew's will be a giving church. Because we have all known what it is to be in need, we desire to be a church that is commited to serving others who are in need. We believe that service means giving of ourselves, especially when that service does not produce a direct benefit for ourselves.
St. Andrew's will be a visionary church. We believe that church, at its best, is a place where people can share their dreams about how they want to make the world a better place-- and there find the encouragement, support, and partnership to make that dream a reality.
St. Andrew's will be a green church. To us, being green means conserving and sustaining, but it also means loving and enjoying. Our commitment, therefore, is to be a church that teaches and inspires people to care for God's creation and to enjoy living in it.
