The Travelogue
Since we have created a church that is built around questions, we thought it would be valuable to make those questions and conversations available on-line. We are calling this on-line journal "The Travelogue," simply because it would seem that the search for faith is a lot more like a journey than anything else. In the words of Frederick Buechner, "Faith is better understood as a verb than as a noun, as a process than a possession. It is on-again-off-again rather than once-and-for-all. Faith is not being sure where you're going, but going anyway. A journey without maps" ("Wishful Thinking", "Faith").
Three of our journal entries are intended to be on-going discussion streams. The entries "Faith and Doubt," "Wishful Thinking," and "What is it?" are long-term posts. They'll be there when the cows come home.
The other streams is of the ever-changing variety. The other is "This Week at St. Andrew's," which is based on that week's worship service.
Please feel free to take part in these discussions. They are not for the knowledgable or the spiritually blessed. They are for anyone who is on the journey or who suspects they might be someday.
