Discussion Groups

There's only so much you're ready to share with somebody you just met. We offer discussion groups so that people will have the opportunity to build better and deeper friendships: sharing the ups and downs of life and talking about our common experience of faith.

ADVENTURE LEARNING. This group explores issues through adventure and discussion. This year we’ll be looking at the intersection of ecology, justice and relationships. The first meeting is Wednesday, October 14th at 8 PM at Brian Barclay's. For more info and directions, contact Brian.

MARRIED COUPLES. We have two groups that are specifically set up for married couples. Both groups meet twice a month (once with dinner) and are going through through the book Satisfy Your Soul by Bruce Demarest. One of the groups meets on Saturday evenings and the other on Thursday evenings. For more information about the Saturday group, contact Laura. THURSDAY NIGHT. Our Thursday night discussion group is always open to visitors. We discuss a variety of topics. Some are spiritually centered (Ex: sabbath, Revelation, types of prayer, What has been saving you?) and others are about the human experience (Ex: fairy tales, How are we prisoners of time?, cairns in you life ). Whatever the topic we enjoy asking hard questions and connecting the topic to our own life stories. We meet at 6:45pm. Our usual meeting place in the Burlington Bay Market and Cafe. MONTPELIER DISCUSSION GROUP. The Montpelier Discussion Group is a safe place to talk about spiritual things with other thoughtful folks. There's always a focus question each week to get things started. At present we meet every other Wednesday evening at Anne Watson's house at 221 Barre St. #203 at 7pm.
