Mission Statement
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29
Our Commitment:
At St. Andrew's we have a commitment-- and that commitment is to be a church that is continually asking the big questions of life and faith.
The reason that we believe so strongly in the value of a good, honest question is because we believe that questions-- especially the hard ones-- are what drive our spiritual quest. And we believe God's promise that he will reveal himself to all those who seek after him.
Discussion Group Questions:
Each week, when our discussion groups gather, it's to ask a question about faith, relationships, work, family, or whatever else is on our minds.
Questions Lead to Worship:
And every worship service is also built around a question. We'll talk during the service about how Jesus would have addressed that question, but we also come up with ways to get everyone involved in the conversation: sometimes, we'll have small group conversations right during the service; sometimes, a few church members will be prepared to share from their own experience; and sometimes, we'll have an open forum, where anyone can share their thoughts with the whole group.
Whatever the format, we will always be asking questions. Big questions, hard questions. Because we believe God's promise that he will be present with us in the quest.
